International Labour Day
On this International Labour Day, we lift up all Christian Action (CA) staff before the Lord. May God grant them perseverance to serve with humble, gentle, and peaceful hearts. We pray especially for those supporting clients under the Migrant Domestic Workers (MDWs) Programme, as many labour far from their homelands to care for employers’ families. May the Lord’s providence and protection rest upon the women, ongoing cases, currently residing in CA’s shelter—who are unable to work and in need of support. May they truly feel cared for, valued, and treasured through their transitions journey. Amen.

Community Outreach and Ministry Promotion
We pray for CA as we set up a booth at EFCC Kong Fok Church this weekend, highlighting programmes such as the Child Development Fund (CDF) Mentorship Programme and the Season of Love Charity Sale. May God use this platform to stir compassionate hearts and strengthen partnerships in serving the poor and vulnerable. May all involved hold fast to their faith, trusting in the promise that God’s grace is sufficient. Amen. "My grace is sufficient for you..." 2 Corinthians 12:9

Support for Families Affected by the Tai Po Blaze
We give thanks for CA’s collaboration with a partner church organization in hosting relaxation workshops for families affected by the Tai Po Blaze, now living at Kai Tak Transitional Housing. As this phase concludes, may God continue to guide CA to walk faithfully with the less fortunate. May His comfort overflow through the ministry, as Scripture reminds us that God comforts us so that we may comfort others “the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort.” 2 Corinthians 1:3 Amen.

We pray for the SSC as it adjusts its services in response to the Northern Metropolis development and changing community needs. We lift up all students completing the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE) today, especially Ethnic Minority (EM) youth supported by CA. We pray for the young adults who are returning to Xining, Qinghai, to reconnect with the Children’s Home, and for Christian Action’s China team as they assist with the necessary preparations. As they were adopted overseas as toddlers and are now living abroad, may this journey be one of healing, rediscovery, and grace. We ask that every process go smoothly, reunions be filled with joy, and that through their visits, encouragement and God’s love may be shared with the community. Amen.

Diversity Hub (DH) and Cultural Engagement
We lift up today’s visit by school principals to CA’s Diversity Hub, as well as the career‑focused cultural events. The DH, a mini‑museum showcasing Hong Kong’s ethnic minority communities, will be guided by EM youth who have been empowered through the enrichment programme at Chung King Mansions. May these initiatives deepen cross‑cultural understanding, strengthen community cohesion, and inspire participants as they consider meaningful and hope‑filled career pathways. Amen.
