International Labour Day
On this International Labour Day, we lift up all Christian Action (CA) staff before the Lord. May God grant them perseverance to serve with humble, gentle, and peaceful hearts. We pray especially for those supporting clients under the Migrant Domestic Workers (MDWs) Programme, as many labour far from their homelands to care for employers’ families. May the Lord’s providence and protection rest upon the women, ongoing cases, currently residing in CA’s shelter—who are unable to work and in need of support. May they truly feel cared for, valued, and treasured through their transitions journey. Amen.

We pray for CA as we set up a booth at EFCC Kong Fok Church this weekend, highlighting programmes such as the Child Development Fund (CDF) Mentorship Programme and the Season of Love Charity Sale. May God use this platform to stir compassionate hearts and strengthen partnerships in serving the poor and vulnerable. May all involved hold fast to their faith, trusting in the promise that God’s grace is sufficient. Amen. "My grace is sufficient for you..." 2 Corinthians 12:9

Support for Families Affected by the Tai Po Blaze
We give thanks for CA’s collaboration with a partner church organization in hosting relaxation workshops for families affected by the Tai Po Blaze, now living at Kai Tak Transitional Housing. As this phase concludes, may God continue to guide CA to walk faithfully with the less fortunate. May His comfort overflow through the ministry, as Scripture reminds us that God comforts us so that we may comfort others “the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort.” 2 Corinthians 1:3 Amen.

Sheung Shui Service Centre (SSC)
We pray for the SSC as it adjusts its services in response to the Northern Metropolis development and changing community needs. May the Lord grant wisdom, discernment, and creativity to the service team as they plan holistic support for families in the neighbourhood. May His presence guide every decision. Amen.

Students Sitting for the DSE
We lift up all students completing the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE) today, especially Ethnic Minority (EM) youth supported by CA. May God grant them peace, confidence, and clarity. May they discover their passions and direction in life, trusting that God has plans to give them hope and a future. Amen.

New Staff in the MDWs Shelter
We pray for the new staff member who recently joined the shelter in our Migrant Domestic Workers (MDWs) service team. May God grant her a smooth adjustment, strength in her calling, and supportive relationships within the team. May the entire group serve together with unity of heart and purpose. Amen.

On Tai Service Centre (OTSC) – Coffee Corner Training
We pray for EM students beginning “mini barista” special training at the Coffee Corner after their completion of the HKDSE. May this opportunity broaden their horizons, build skills and confidence, and help them step forward with courage and hope toward a brighter future. Amen.

Mong Kok Service Centre (MKC) – Family Outing
We commit to God the families from the MKC visiting Ocean Park at the Park’s generous invitation. May each family experience joy, renewal, and God’s love, and may they truly “taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him.” Psalm 34:8. Amen!

Senior Volunteer Training Programme (at SSC)
We lift up the almost one month senior volunteer training programme “全身心發展 – 長者義工訓練” being launched at SSC. May God renew the energy, confidence, and sense of purpose in each participant. May they be enriched as they serve and empowered to bless lone or poor elderly in the neighbourhood. Amen.

EM Ambassador Team (EMAm)
We pray for the EMAm Team as they continue their outreach work across Hong Kong. May God bless their efforts to foster cultural integration, mutual respect, and understanding, enabling clients to adapt more smoothly and feel truly welcomed within the wider community. Amen.

Training Services Division (TSD) – Job Fair
We pray for today’s Innovation Technology Career Gateway job fair at Amoy Plaza organized by our TSD. May God bless the vocational training and job matching efforts, using them to inspire participants to pursue their aspirations with confidence and perseverance. Amen.

OTSC – Music Classes for Nepalese Youth
We commit to God the launch of weekly music classes for Nepalese youth. May the programme run smoothly and meaningfully. May the young people discover their gifts, grow in confidence, and know how precious they are in God’s sight. Amen.

MKC – Home Visits and Blessing Bags
We pray for the home visits in Sham Shui Po and the distribution of blessing bags to families living in subdivided flats. Through collaboration with various partners, may God use these efforts to lighten burdens and convey love, dignity, and care. Amen.

CAC Afterschool Care – Sailing Activity
We lift up the sailing activity through the kindness of Hebe Haven Yacht Club tomorrow for children from the Afterschool Care Programme. May God grant favourable weather, safety, and joyful experiences. May the children carry treasured memories and a deeper awareness of their worth and value in God’s eyes. Amen.

Long Ping Service Centre (LPSC)
We thank God for the volunteers faithfully serving the elderly at LPSC through weekly caring activities. May the Lord continue to strengthen and refresh all who serve humbly and selflessly, in accordance with His promise that 'whoever refreshes others will be refreshed'. Proverbs 11:25

Accounting Department – e Tax Upload
We pray for CA’s Accounting Department as they complete the e-Tax upload. May all technical and administrative processes proceed smoothly, accurately, and on time, and may the system enhance long term efficiency. Amen.

EM Youth Activities
We thank God for the EM youth programmes conducted this month. Activities include a DIY handicraft class, board game sessions, sports activities and tutoring classes. May these youth activities be times of joy, creativity, friendship, and growth, where participants experience God’s love through caring relationships. Amen.

CA Summary of Services 2024–2025
We pray for the publication of CA’s 2024–2025 Summary of Services. May it clearly reflect the impact of the ministry, encourage ongoing support, and inspire more individuals and organisations to share in CA’s mission. Amen.

Refugee Ministry and Unwavering Faith
As third country resettlement options become increasingly limited, we pray for CA’s refugee clients who face uncertain futures. May God strengthen CA to remain faithful and innovative in exploring every possible pathway to empower and uplift those they serve. May hope endure amid uncertainty. Amen.

Spiritual Strength and Unity
We pray for spiritual strength and unity for CA during times of challenge. May God guard hearts and minds from fear and discouragement, filling all involved with peace, courage, and steadfast faith. May this season testify to His grace, healing, and comfort. Amen.

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. Ephesians 6:10–11 

CDF Life Planning Activity
We lift up the life planning activity hosted by the CDF team, to guide the mentees in self-expression and self-exploration. May participating students be encouraged to discover their strengths, articulate their dreams, and move forward with wisdom, courage, and hope. Amen.

China Ministry Visit
We pray for the young adults who are returning to Xining, Qinghai, to reconnect with the Children’s Home, and for Christian Action’s China team as they assist with the necessary preparations. As they were adopted overseas as toddlers and are now living abroad, may this journey be one of healing, rediscovery, and grace. We ask that every process go smoothly, reunions be filled with joy, and that through their visits, encouragement and God’s love may be shared with the community. Amen.

Green Collection
We thank God for the green collection events conducted this month. May abundant usable items be collected to support CA’s work. May we be an example to HK community with our environmental protection projects. Amen.

Diversity Hub (DH) and Cultural Engagement
We lift up today’s visit by school principals to CA’s Diversity Hub, as well as the career‑focused cultural events. The DH, a mini‑museum showcasing Hong Kong’s ethnic minority communities, will be guided by EM youth who have been empowered through the enrichment programme at Chung King Mansions. May these initiatives deepen cross‑cultural understanding, strengthen community cohesion, and inspire participants as they consider meaningful and hope‑filled career pathways. Amen.

“Bridge Cultures, Build Careers!” Initiative
Today, our TSD is hosting “Bridge Cultures, Build Careers!” at the Christian Action Centre (CAC) in Choi Wan for the local non-Chinese community. Pray that we may continue building bridges and nurturing connections, guiding clients in mapping their career paths while fostering cultural integration and mutual respect.

Caring Company Scheme 2025/26
We pray for CA’s applications to the “Caring Company Scheme 2025/26”. May God bless CA and its corporate partners, and may more compassionate corporations be moved to support the mission of bringing hope and love to the vulnerable. Amen.

Interns Completing Their Service
We lift up the two interns from Saint Francis University who complete their service with CA’s SED. We pray that they will carry forward the vision and mission they have encountered during their time here, and that these values will continue to shape and inspire them as they step into the next season of their journey. May they serve with compassion, integrity, and purpose wherever they are led. Amen.

Prayer for Reunion and Ministry
We lift up Mrs. Cheung‑Ang Siew Mei, JP, our Executive Director, as she reunites today with a teenage girl adopted overseas during childhood. May this reunion be filled with hope and joy, and may CA continue to follow the example of Jesus Christ in serving and uplifting the most needy and vulnerable. Amen.
