Faith in Action - Flag Day 2025

19th July 2025 (Saturday)

Christian Action will hold a flag-selling fundraising event in the New Territories on Saturday, 19th July 2025, with a fundraising target of HK$500,000. For this event, we aim to mobilize 1,700 volunteers. All flag sale proceeds will support us in running comprehensive programmes for underprivileged children in Hong Kong, including those from low-income families, ethnic minorities, refugee and asylum seeker communities, and their families, while continuing our humanitarian services for disadvantaged communities.

This year, we are proud to collaborate with the popular local illustration character Din-Dong . The Flag Day will adopt the theme "Diverse Personalities, Infinite Power", conveying the message that "no matter what personality you have, by extending a helping hand, you can bring warmth and hope to society."

Let us work together to support our communities while spreading more positive energy!

Volunteer rewards:
Each volunteer who completes the flag sale will receive :
1. Volunteer Commendation Certificate
2. A Flag Day-themed souvenir

School participation rewards:

Remarks:

1. Volunteers under 14 years old may only participate in flag selling when accompanied by a parent or guardian.
2. While Christian Action will prioritize your preferred district, final assignments may be adjusted based on volunteer distribution needs.
3. Volunteers need to have the permit to participate in voluntary work in Hong Kong according to the Hong Kong Immigration Ordinance.
4. Christian Action has secured third-party insurance coverage for all volunteers aged 80 or younger.
5. All flag bags must be returned to designated collection points on or before 12:00 noon on 19 July 2025 (Flag Day conclusion).
6. Each volunteer will receive a certificate of appreciation and a Flag Day-themed souvenir in recognition of their service.
7. The Director of Social Welfare has authorised three organisations to conduct flag sales on 19 July 2025: Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, and New Territories. We are authorized to conduct flag sales in the New Territories (Public Subscription Permit No. FD/R021/2025).
